PRESENTATION PAUL OZ – SCULPTURE AND PORTRAITS SENNA

The artist and sculptor specializing in explosive portraits Paul Oz presented his work in premiere at McLaren Barcelona

Paul Oz  celebrates icons of popular culture and sport with maximum impact and energy in 3D, large-scale, highly textured oil paintings and dynamic sculpture.

Commissioned by F1 to celebrate the 1000th GP in Shanghai 2019, and for its 70th anniversary with ‘The Magnificent 7′ series in 2020. Creator of the life-size statue to commemorate 25 years with the Ayrton Senna Institute, and of Bruce McLaren for 50 years, both on permanent display at McLaren’s Woking headquarters. The focus for the next decade will be to immortalize the icons and history of F1 in hyper-realistic bronzes.

The presentation took place at our facilities in Sant Just Desvern, and attendees were privileged to preview the work before it was officially unveiled the following day at the Montmeló circuit.

The sculpture simulates Ayrton Senna taking one of the Eau Rouge curves at Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium), also known as the most dangerous curve in the world.

There are only 3 copies in the world of this sculpture officially authorized by the Senna family, and we are honored to have one of them in our facilities.

McLaren Barcelona clients and friends came to the event and had the opportunity to enjoy meeting the artist, enjoy a small cocktail and the music of our DJ friend Amalia Balbontín
